“Little Lambs has been absolutely wonderful, and we are genuinely so sad that we had to leave. Our son spent the last few months there and absolutely loved it. In such a short time, we saw him grow so much in confidence, independence and curiosity. The staff are incredibly caring, attentive and genuinely invested in the children, you can really see how much they love what they do. We felt completely reassured leaving him there, knowing he was in such kind and capable hands.”

Why families choose Little Lambs
Why Peckham parents choose Little Lambs
The small things add up to a child who feels safe, known and curious. Here's what that looks like day to day, from who greets them each morning to how their learning is shaped.
01Days that follow the child Learning built around what they're ready for
Our curriculum is designed by an in-house reception teacher on the EYFS framework, then brought to life through in-the-moment planning that follows what each child shows they're ready for. Staff look for learning in everyday moments, getting dressed, sitting down to eat, walking to the garden, rather than only in planned activities.
02Room to explore, inside and out Spacious rooms, low numbers, in the heart of Peckham
Our rooms are spacious with low numbers, giving children enough space to explore while staying small enough to feel like home. The day starts outdoors, in the garden, a local park, or the streets around Peckham, with calm sleep areas and a dedicated quiet space for children who no longer nap.
03Built around your family Funded places and honest updates on how the day went
Fees can be arranged across 2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week, with 15 and 30 hours funding options and funded hours spread evenly across the year so invoices stay the same each month. Daily photo and activity updates cover meals, naps and learning, and at collection your child's key worker talks you through the day.
Every child has a key worker who greets them at the door, and you can follow their meals, naps and learning through the Famly app.

What local parents say
Nothing tells you more about a nursery than the families who are already there.
“Our twins started nursery here at 13 months old. I must say I have been incredibly impressed and feel very fortunate to have found Little Lambs. The entire team go above and beyond for the children. They are experienced and you can tell they truly enjoy what they do. I watched my boys grow exponentially and in such a short amount of time. The facilities are great, clean, secure and I felt my kids were safe there.”
“We absolutely cannot recommend little lambs enough. They have provided such a caring and supportive environment for our little one. Every day finding ways to provide different and engaging activities. They seem to really take pride in getting to know our child and finding ways to help him have a good time. As well as being warm and friendly the team are very professional and provide a safe place that we trust when we are not there.”

Our space
Rooms are organised by age group, each with its own space for children to settle, explore and nap without feeling crowded. Sleep areas play delta wave music to help younger children drift off, while older children who no longer nap have a dedicated quiet space for calmer, independent play.
Outdoors
Outdoor time starts first thing in the morning, with children using the nursery garden as well as local parks, including the green space at nearby Peckham Rye. Staff take children out onto the streets around Peckham too, building a familiarity with the local area beyond the nursery gates.

Getting started
Little Lambs is a Peckham nursery built on the belief that a child who feels safe is a child who's ready to learn, so relationships come first and low numbers in spacious rooms mean every child is properly known. Our curriculum is designed by an in-house reception teacher and delivered through in-the-moment planning that follows each child's own interests. Meals are eaten family-style alongside educators, often across age groups, and our team includes a dedicated Family Support and Wellbeing Educator and a Spanish teacher.
We're at 59a Rye Lane Baptist Chapel, SE15 5EX, in the heart of Peckham, a short walk from Peckham Rye station. From here we're also out and about in the local park and the streets around Peckham, so the neighbourhood becomes part of each child's day.
We welcome children from 3 months to 5 years old. Our curriculum, designed by an in-house reception teacher and built on the EYFS framework, grows with each child right through to school readiness.
Send us an enquiry and we'll arrange a visit so you can see the rooms, meet the team and ask anything you'd like before registering. From there it's registration, then settling-in sessions before your child's first day proper.
Availability changes regularly, and if a space can't be offered straightaway we'll add your child to our waiting list. Term-time only spaces are also available but are extremely limited, so the best way to check what's currently open is to get in touch or book a visit.
Fees and funding
Yes. Every 3 and 4 year old is entitled to 15 universal funded hours regardless of parental work status, and working parents may also be entitled to 30 hours, or to the 30 hour entitlement from 9 months old, depending on individual earnings. Parents who aren't working may still be entitled to 15 hours if their child is 2 or over, and we'd always recommend checking your specific eligibility at gov.uk, we're happy to talk it through.
Our fees are £89 a day, spread evenly over 12 monthly payments: from £741.67 a month for 2 days a week up to £1,854.17 for 5 days. 15 and 30 hours funding bring that down, and funded hours are stretched over 50 weeks so your invoice stays the same every month. There's an optional consumables charge of £5.85 a day. Get in touch and we'll work out the exact figure for your family.
Safeguarding
Little Lambs registered with Ofsted in February 2026 and our first inspection is still to come. Our team includes an Early Years Teacher and Curriculum Lead, a Deputy Manager with operational oversight, and a Nursery Manager who is also an Early Years Consultant. Come and see us, and ask us anything about how we keep children safe.
